I've been eagerly awaiting opening week of Lake City's Farmers Market but June 4th still feels so far away. This week I got great news that there is a new farmers market coming to town. Meadowbrook Farmers Market will be open on Sundays from 11 to 3 starting May 31st at the Waldorf School (2728 NE 100th Street). It's a little further from my house than the Lake City Market but I can't wait to check it out.

The Meadowbrook Farmers Market is a non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating a sustainable and healthy community by offering high-quality local organic and bio-dynamic foods, artisan goods, and educational opportunities.
The market will serve as an integrative model for youth and school involvement while providing support for the local economy and community development.
